I'd like to do two things with the video on my camcorder--burn DVDs with the 60 minutes of video, but also cut it up into mini clips to email/play with on the computer.
Once I open MS Movie Maker, it gives me a few options..."Best quality for playback on computer," which sounds like what I want for the latter. The file size is like 3M/minute...perfect.
"Digital Device Format (DV-AVI)" sort of sounds like what I want for the former (burn DVDs), but I am not sure...file size is no joke here...178M/minute. I couldn't even get the whole hour on a DVD (or does it compress the file when burning DVDs?).
Any ideas what I should do here? I finally got the card in the PC and the cable to pull these on to the computer, but not sure what I need to do now. Help!
