I'm just really hoping for nothing higher than a $299.99 release but knowing Sony this is going to be a $349.99 launch. I'm just hoping the wifi only version ends up a little cheaper than the 3g one.
Sony released some new details on the cartridges it uses. They also said the cameras would feature head-tracking and face recognition. Games will also only have access to three out of four CPU cores. Presumably for some sort of multitasking.
Does it run Android like the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone?
I bet that in the future they will unlock the fourth core for games to use. Remember how the PSP was originally locked to 222MHz but later was unlocked to its full 333MHz capability?
The PSP was never properly supported by Western developers & publishers, unfortunately.PSP always was a great rpg system (and not much else) but that was always good enough for me. If it is at least that, I'll be happy.
I'd be surprised if it's that much for the Wi-Fi version. Apple's mainline portable is $299, and the 3DS is $250. Sony can be colossally dumb sometimes, but I can't see them repeating the PS3's mistake again.
