Any nexus 6 users here? Got marshmallow yet?

Google had a presser on the 29th, announced Marshmallow next week.

I think I read October 5 somewhere. I'm not sure what Google did recently though, but the app drawer changed and whatever was killing my battery for the past week has gone away when that changed, so they've done something recently without any real update. I'm not sure if I'm alone on the battery thing.

Basically the app will ask you if it can use your contacts/location and whatnot when you start the app ala ios, you can deny the permissions and the app should still be able to function, obviously not to the full extent if you did give it permission.

Probably a rolling update. You should get notification. If not check the rom site to see if it's avail

With all Android updates, they begin rolling out today but who knows when it starts or how long it will take for you to get it.

Be patient, the 6.0 Factory Images aren't even available yet, so the roll-out has yet to begin.

I'll be glad if it does start today, but Google only ever said "next week." We are in the next week, but they didn't say "at the beginning of next week" or anything like that.

Roll out doesn't mean everyone gets it either. That just means they're starting. I think Lollipop for me didn't pop until a week later.

People on reddit are confirming it's working. It worked in dev and it's working in release.

I flashed it on my Nexus9 and Nexus7. It's a nice upgrade, it's fast for me, but then again, I wiped user data.

OTAs - AndroidCentral and I think AndroidPolice are posting OTAs for Nexus7 and Nexus9.

As a reminder, starting with Lolipop and forward, Google and US carriers are holding updates based on SIM. So .. US Carriers get to greenlight the OTA to your nexus phone.

I'm not on T-Mobile so I don't think I will have a chance to test the WiFi calling.

What is OTA? is it same as getting a notification that you have update, or going to system update and checking for updates? Or is it something like downloading a ROM and stuff...
