Any Nokia XpressMusic 5800 owners?

I just ordered one... How do you like it? Have you done anything to tweak the phone? I'm thinking of getting AT&T's unlimited $20 a month data plan. I'm not sure that's doable, though.

pretty loud speaker on it, nice and thin, Nokias OS choice is horrible. I can't stand the OS's on any of their phones though. I dont generally like Nokia phones at all, but I liked my Xpress Music phone.

Some of my friends have this phone and they're happy about it. It won't blow you away, but it's a good phone.

S60 isn't as UI friendly as the new OSes out there but seriously, it gets the job done. The phone is a tad slow due to the ARM11 processor, but it's more than enough. There's plenty of S60 apps. Too bad most people here have carrier phones.

A friend owns it. Hardware is good to great, but OS & software are mediocre.

I've had one since April. There are a lot of good things about it, and I have learned to really enjoy using it. There is some craziness with the way it handles some wi-fi access points, and certain apps (e-mail) can be slow at times. Sometimes programs crash, maybe due to memory problems (once again, it's the email)? Also, as someone who uses a NAM version, it's frustrating to be several months behind on firmware.

It does have really good speakers on it. One minor gripe I have about audio playback is that the default player doesn't have gapless playback. You can find apps that will do that, but it's not quite as convenient.

It helps if you have small fingers...

All in all once you get to exploring some of the s60v5 apps out there and play with it, the 5800 can be a pleasure to use. And the AT&T plan with unlimited data I've seen is only $15, so there you go, $120 more of the next 2 years to spend on something else

I have to agree with the above posters, why is motorola using the same OS ? its like a dell PC that has windows ME...

I think phones need to go the way of pc's..

I have one and use it as my primary phone. It works well although a lot of programs crash including Opera and the builtin music player. The resistive screen sucks and overall I'm actually not too impressed by it. That said, the audio is good, the speakers are better than adequate and the phone voice quality is above average. The wifi and email works fine for me so no complaints there. There are certainly a lot of apps for the phone out there so that's a plus.
I wish the screen was a little bigger since viewing websites really sucks.
