I'm still here. I was around for quite some time when AnandTech was still using the Ultimate Bulletin Board, it was called the "AnandTech BBS" back then.
Those were really the good old days. I remember all the Cyrix/AMD/Intel flamewar threads, plus there was just so much more great stuff all over compared to now. We had kickass trolls like Guy Under The Bridge (GUTB) to keep us entertained with his zealry (that word make sense?). There must have only been 5-10k members back then! Now there's what, 90k or so?
I think I had some different handles back then... This is the one that has stuck the longest so I still use it. I enjoy reading the posts from "old timers" that have remained, cause they tend to be more well thought out and more entertaining to read compared to most "new" members. Although I consider myself an old timer, I don't put myself on the same level as most of the other old timers, as I never really contributed to the forum, was really just a person that drifted along for the ride and never made many useful comments. Like this post for example
Anyway, I'm out.
