<< Anyone remember who the first troll was to show up here on AT? >>

Yeah Puto AKA HOY, AKA Nick the Stank, AKA Celeron 450, AKA Nick Caputo. Busted him trying to rip of some kind for $500+ selling him a computer that he didn't even have. I was warned about him from the Traders over at AGN.

That was before the For Sale Forum here.

Thank You for the kind words. I'm still the 12 year old PIMP. I live in dog year.
RD was the one that un-virginized me. My first deal was with Red.

You're really old if you remembered how Puto tried to rip(or did) rip off the boss of AGN(not Jeremy, the other one).
I have to say the original KING of the AGN trading forum is VidmanII. He was around wayyyy before any of us.
Too bad of what went down with the compuwiz thread.
Todd is a GOOD guy.....nooBs just don't know the real VidmanII.

CAK, (Chris)...looooooong time no see, now how many P3 did I buy from you ??
I'm a recovering Diabloholic....not EverQuest.

Baffled2 was the original QUEEN of trading.....she was the first female trader that I know of.

Underclocked was the KING of Value America. Rememeber, we bankrupped that damm place.

My only disappointment was I was too busy playing Diablo2 when AGN went down. Didn't get a chance to say bye to all the great traders I've met over the yrs.

So nice to see old faces.

Last of all.....I considered you an old AT timer if you remembered Airman running wild on Anandtech.
When Anandtech first openned the For Sale forum, Airman was running wild.

All I wanna know is did anyone ever figure out who that guy was in Anand's first big continent-wide interview on CBS This Morning? Wasn't there speculation he was a forum member? I think it aired November 17, 1999 (just checking back through my e-mail archive).

Yes, I'm an old timer but I mostly stuck around general hardware in the UBB days.

Ya, still here.

Don't hang out as much as I used to though...

Nowadays, I'm all about the For Sale/Trade forum.

I think I been here long enough to remember that Guy under the Bridge used the word RAPE every so often. Those were entertaining.

Now I just lurk and surface.

Anyone remember the Great neffing? <---- not old but not new either

Was that when 2 or 3 guys went wild in OT back around March 2000?

Didn't he love using *CONFIRMED*, or something like that, in his thread titles too or was that someone else?

LOL, I used to really get a laugh when a new comer would figure out I was female,it was like the thought that a woman would even be interested in hardware was a shock to their systems ! I was the envy of all my geek friends locally because of the great trades I made on the boards. Todd is a real sweetheart, always a pleasure to deal with.If my memory serves me correctly so was Underclocked, hehehe I still have stuff around here from ValuAmerica deals

I remember Airman (kevin) running wild, lol, guess that makes me an old timer.

Harvey,
You, may well have come up with the WMC term- it was right about that time I started here- and just a little bit later I started at HHT. All I knew at the time was that the term had come from Russ's.
Lets see if I can recall GUTB's standard phraseology

"Guys, lets keep it real! The Intel 386 simply RAPES the Athlon XP in all performance benchmarks"
I have to wonder why he had such a fondness for the word "rape"- especially in context with processors.

Yeah we were all over at HHT making fun of the WMC's and when Harvey termed that phrase

i know a lot of you old timers have run off. I haven't seen IBhackinU and the cowbell threads for quite sometime, along with quite a few others. Compared to most of the members posting here, even i'm an old timer and i joined over a year after you guys.

I've not been on the forums nearly as much as I used to be during the UBB days, but I do poke my head in every now and then . I also remember many of you stealing all my good deals over at AGN. I'm still pissed off at several of you over that . I'm pleasantly surprised that so many of the old-timers do still hang around.

Hehe, I remember some of those battles between Harvey and Netopia, because I was often the instigator . Between Netopia and religion, and Russ and politics, we used to have some good knock-down-drag-outs in the "Non-Technical Forum". Whatever happened to Netopia anyway?

Seems like its been a while since he posted, amok. I keep watching for him in the recurrent religious threads.

I also miss jjm who said he was comming back, but I haven't seen him. Seems like there's a real shortage of the kind of threads he posted in too, Must be that Bush embarassment thing.

I'm still here.

baffled2, I know what you mean about the gender confusion. I've been here over two years now, I've always had my name for my signature, and I'm still commonly referred to as "dude" or something similar in replies to my posts.

Thank goodness for some of the old-timers who ocassionally correct them.

I have to remind you guys, that many people were members before the date under their names. They were banned and came back.
Some were lurkers for a long time before posting.
