I'm still here too, although I keep my head burried in the Distributed Computing sand most of the time. That said, for anyone that misses picture posting, the "real" special feature of the time was the custom avatars; nothing could beat Jackal's bright parrot.

PS Amok, I haven't seen Joe in ages, so I'm assuming he's moved on. Then again though, I assumed the same about you, and yet we still can't get rid of you

I've been around since the K6-233 was big. I actually asked Anand via AIM (by pulling the front of his AOL email address from the main page) about advice on motherboards. He actally took the time to help some guy he never knew....nice.

My 1st real hotrod was a c300a combo that I bought from Russ. I called it the little celeron that thought it could and indeed it thought itself a PII 450, that did it for me , I started building systems and haven't stopped since.LOL,the BH6 that ran that chip is still happily chugging away in a clients system, That celeron is still here though,can't bring myself to sell or trade it for some reason

I was a lurker back then, and mainly came to AT for the Reviews. Anyway, I had to sign in 2wice because I forgot my password for the old username. I've been here since the beginning of fusetalk, but didn?t post much. Back then, I was only visiting General Hardware and didn?t touch Off topic. I did get hocked on RC5 for a while and was around Distributed computing for a good while. I eventually made the jump to Off topic a bit before the NowhereMom fiasco. Those were the days...

Hi folks, I have been around since the beginning too. This isn't my orginial name/profile. I was a WMC, and got a little check for it. Harvey and Carolyn were my heros I have always respected Russ, and teased him some about doing RC5 instead of SETI, and how he is on our team.

Can any of you all remember when we just had a couple hundred running SETI? Now we have over 1,300. Why don't all you new, or young users join us oldtimes in the great search? We will be glad to help over in the Distributed Computing Forum.

In order to reduce the gibberish tag I have decided to spoil my fun by translating occassional one of my ordinarily private (as in unnoticed) little nefcapades. To be regular is to have bowel movements at a synchronistic manner. It can also refer colloquially to being strait. I leave you to figure out the application. We always use emoticons to indicate, for example, humor when we are kidding. The big grin is composed of a colon and the capital letter D and which, backwards, since we are after all refering to a function that takes place there on the backside, front to back, is D :, which when read sounds like how many an ethnic would pronounce 'the colon' , da colon or de colon.

Man when I beat this gibberish charge, I'm gonna be in a deeper hole than before.
