That would be an exception but I wouldn't have one in my bed, and it's ass would be outside when able asap.

None of ours have, so far (we have beagles and walker my excellent compatriot hounds). Of course, we do put plenty of straw in their dog boxes for warmth, and if it gets REALLY cold out, we sometimes turn on a heat lamp.

ok well a lot of people don't have large dogs
they definitely are practical (ie:easier to clean / less dust / fleas)

That is a FACT.

Carpet is for women and girly men.

Hardwood floors + stone tile = residential bliss

My latest....(still in progress)...

Took just over a week and a day to finish from demolition to moving back into room (about 300 sq feet).

Ignore the messy house...all part of the process!

This is the 12th floor that I've done in my house with 7 being hardwood, 3 being tile, one being carpet (I only did partial install, had pro finish) and one vinyl stick on ( ) for the laundry room.

Are you putting it in your self?

Yes. I used 1,200 nails with a floor nailer (non pneumatic ), one pound of 6d finish nails, 3/4 pounds of #6 - 1.5 inch wood screws and lots of work.

Bamboo is the ultimate flooring material, IMHO ...

Looks nice.

Very hard/tough, but still provides some "cushioning".

Excellent insulative properties.

Renewable resource, and grows very fast.

Only downside is that it is not cheap, but then you get what you pay for.

Hardwood is easier to clean. Linoleum is even easier. Therefore, by the only standard that matters to me, linoleum wins.

No...your heating system sucks. If you had radiant heating your hardwood floor would be nice and toasty in the winter.

Say what? Have you ever lived in a non-carpet home? Almost no decent home these days has carpet as the primary floor covering. I haven't seen any at least.

I hate my hardwood floor. It shows footprints all the time, and I have to sweep the damn thing every day.

Hardwood + Ondol = Tha Illest

I love the feeling of carpet (or at least a nice rug) in the bedroom though.

I love the look of hardwood but my three boys would each have about 75 concussions if we didn't have carpet.

It was hot last night, so she slept on our bed near the air conditioner.
