Having the 4th on a Tuesday SUCKS! I'm the newest person here, so of course I couldn't take today off Anyone else stuck at work today?

Don't feel bad my job never closes.I have to make sure I put in my vacation request or I will be working Christmas this year and not be able to go out of town like I normally do.

I'm working today and tomorrow. Not complaining though, because I've been away from work for a month. It's good to be making the big bucks again (even if it is just $5.50 an hour)

Just cause I'm at work doesn't mean I'm actually working. The university's financial system is down till the 5th, so I can't do a large portion of my job anyway, and I think just about half the city took the day off.

I came into my work at the university to do some research and the place is like a ghost town, so since I can't get into some rooms tha I needed to, I will just do some internet "research"

im at work, its 3:15 pm and i havent done a lick of work yet today, ive been contracted out at $95 an hour, and the people who are supposed to give me tasks figured i would be busy, but im all done, so until they get back in a few days, i just sit here and soak up some money.

It wouldnt be bad if thier proxy allowed me to do anything besides look at web pages, what a bummer.

Mrs AntiSocial...I can relate. It sucks working today. And there was no way in hell i could have asked for the day off. See i'm new here at this company. More like this is my first day. Of all the days to start work they put me in the day before a holiday. WORK IS SUCK! Good thing though the market closed 3 hours earlier today.
