Oh look, someone regurgitating a stereotype on the internet, even more shocking It's okay, no one is coming over there to take away your meat (yet - that's scheduled for 2025 )

Joking aside, there's about a million threads on everything but veganism, and I've waited about 5 years to make a thread on it so... yeah. Come up with better memes, at least.

yes it was easy, but I still had to do it.

I'm not one to restrict my diet, I have enough trouble trying to figure out what to make as it is, I'm not really good at cooking and tend to lack ideas. That said, I have nothing against those who do go vegan. In fact I think it's more sustainable. That and the meat industry is not exactly, pretty. Some of the torture and abuse that goes on is pretty terrible.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Okay, you made a decision to pay attention to your diet, started eating better and healthier and gained a benefit. Almost anyone would if they previously subsisted entirely on fast food, Hot Pockets and vending machine snacks. Why do you subscribe to the fallacy that it's eating vegan that got you some noticeable benefits rather than simply the fact that you're eating better? Take the average person that pays absolutely no attention to their diet and just make minor changes and they're probably going to feel better. Keep eating meat, just replace the afternoon snack of potato chips with an apple, have a salad instead of fried mozzarella sticks once a week, have a steak, a few fries and some cabbage and beans instead of a steak and a quadruple order of fries and most people would see the same boost in energy level, weight loss and bowel regularity that you're getting.
Way to make your own host of arrogant assumptions (is this really shocking in these parts of AT?)

I lost 100lbs eating better on a meat diet, substituting junk for veggies and fruits and sticking with meats like chicken and turkey (I still ate bacon, beef, seafood etc just occasionally). After being at my healthy weight for nearly a year eating meat 2-3 times per day and keeping the weight off by continuing to eat healthy and exercising, I decided to try veganism for 2 weeks. I noticed a benefit in a weeks time, mainly surrounding the quality of my sleep and my dependency on sleep in general.

While since then I still eat meat roughly once per week (on average, sometimes twice per week or I go two weeks without it for example) and I also am OK with cheese just greatly reduced, I have seen the benefit of sticking to a mostly plant-based diet. If I eat too much cheese or meat (or sugar, but that's not related to the topic per say), I will notice the impact for days.

I'm at least one example of you being dead wrong. There are likely thousands more. So, at least TRY not to sound as stupid as you believe vegans are, for your own sake.
