I watched the first eight seasons and LIFE just got me behind on season nine. After reading that season ten has been pretty good so far I am tempted to try and catch up, especially after seeing this poster...

Season 9 was one of the best. More inline with the original series Much Much better than season 8. I only saw the first quarter or so of season 10 but kinda started to dwindle on it. Just going to wait for spring and watch it all at once.

Smallville's eps have been hit or miss since Season 3 ended and they hit the reset button at the start of 4. They can be either really good, or really bad. Reset button gets hit at the end of every good episode though. And the constant love triangle BS dragged the show into the gutter, same with the repeated Zod arcs.

Season 9 was decent, and 10 has been pretty good though, so far.

i found it amusing in its early seasons due to the unintentionally comedic content. also, lionel luthor was one of the most awesome characters from any tv show.

Pretty much how I feel about it. I loved the first couple of seasons because it hadn't gone down this road yet and it was cool watching him slowly discover his powers. But I got sick of all the teen love BS.

Yup, it is, and hopefully it will.

There's a tiny tiny chance that Michael Rosenbaum will be back for the final episode. It's always been denied but they've certainly left the story open for it, with the young cloned Lex rapidly aging. All he needs is a cure and poof, Lex is back.

I used to watch this religiously with my friends back like seasons 1-4.. I can't remember if we watched 5. Stopped when Lana started getting mysterious tattoos and became ninja girl which was hokey.

I didn't know it was even still going and weird that they would do it without the original cast. Lex was the best character on the show...

Well, it certainly hasn't gotten any less comedic. I still watch this show with a friend if only to do our own Mystery Science Theater for each and every episode, or play drinking games to things like "I got your message" whenever the writers want a character to show up wherever.

Yeah, unfortunately the show gained a cult-like following and I'm sure its appeal to teen audiences meant it kept getting newer fans as old ones got fed up. At this point Tom Welling has made enough bank to basically take over production of the show and keep it going even though the life support should have been disconnected and remained that way as soon as the original creators left a few seasons back.
