I was looking to buy a dvd burner. Does it really make a difference having a big buffer . Sony used to have a 4X with 8MB now most of the 8X now comes only with 2MB. The one I am looking at are Plextor , TDK 880N.

burns dvds great no problems yet using memorex dvd-r
2mb buffer but i havent seen a prob with it i never had an underrun or anything using athlon 2600

lol who cares what color it is
trust me go with the liteon
its even faster/more stable then my friends burners:
one has digital research burner
another has sony dru-510a
other has the 4x dual format tdk drive
they all have some problems in some places that i have never came across
