use the mp5, b,3,1.
you can hold down the shooting ffrom mid to short distance.
all guns must be burst fire unless you are extremely short distance.
buy armor.
buy items with your keyboard or a script...do not use a mouse (too slow).
keep an eye on who dies and stuff so u know more about your surroundings.
learn the communication binds soon (ZXC)

Practice.

Know your guns. Learn how each fires. Remember to shoot in bursts. Unlike just about every other FPS, the bullets in CS don't usually end up where the crosshair is.

Know your maps. Know where the &quot;hotspots&quot; are. Know where the good ambush spots are.

Practice.

Never go at it from a &quot;Lone Wolf&quot; perspective. Always have some sort of backup. With that said, make sure you leave some space in between yourselves. Nothing sucks worse than trying to move back out of the way of gunfire only to be blocked off by a teammate. This also spreads out enemy fire instead of allowing them concentrate their firepower at one area and wiping your group out.

Practice.

Use the radar screen. Always glance up and make a quick note of where your teammates are. I don't know how many times I've noticed 8 dots in one area and 1 dot in another. As soon as that 1 dot is gone, I know that the enemy is coming in from that area to flank us. Also, use the radar along with sound to determine if someone is close by. With my 4 speaker surround sound, I can tell if an enemy is around the corner or behind me.

Crouch a lot and fire in short bursts.

Continuous fire is wildly inaccurate!

Charge into the fray !! Absorb those bullets and distract. While you die, your team mates can go wipe em up.
Your team wins, you can buy more things and die less quickly.

Every good chess match sacrifices pawns.

Another trick:

Make your enemy talk to you...this is a perfect time to kill them since they are not focusing.

my tip: Run around with deagle, armor, and flash... flash them, and then hit them in the head.... my clan practices on a small map shoot at each other with deagles.... we usually get head shots from distances equal to the distance on de_dust from when you come up the stairs on the spawn point, to halfway to the far wall past the archway... we played one team, only used deagles, and got headshots the whole time... we get accused of cheating a lot muhaha,,
