Service history.

Also, spend the time to detail the car. I mean, really spit polish the thing...even if it's an older high-miles car. First impressions count for a lot with buyers and you're only out your time and elbow grease to handle this. Even worth it to have it professionally detailed if you don't have time to do it.

Know exactly what you're asking and the minimum you will take _ahead of time_ when negotiating. You don't want to kick yourself after the deal when you took less than you wanted just to sell the car.

Good luck,
Fausto

Go to an A.S.E. certified inspector (not Cousin Ronnie, who works on cars under the shade tree out front...) and have them do a full inspection of the car, and provide documentation showing the condition its in. It'll prolly cost you a hundred or so, but you can show the buyer that you take care of your vehicle and are concerned about selling him a quality vehicle. Good customer service up front goes a long way!

Inflate the tires above spec so it will handle better on the test drive...

Especially on a high end car you want to get all the money for!

Include the original rims. Lots of people would rather run OEM wheels. Remove any other custom parts. They make the car worth less money because it's harder to sell. For example, a dealership will offer you significantly less for a car that's been modified in any way. Make sure it is spotless inside and out, give it a good polishing and fresh coat of wax.

Before they test drive, get all the info you can on the potential buyer, such as driver's license number along with the obvious stuff like phone number(s) and home address. If they don't want to give you the info before the test drive, something bad is up, or they're not seriously looking to buy your car.

You can and should let them take it to a mechanic or dealership to have it checked out, but after the sale, write up a bill of sale stating that the car is being sold as is, and you will not warrantee the car in any way. If it happens to break in two a mile down the road, they still own both halves.

Joe.

Oh sweet Jesus!

That actually looks like the right spoiler, but on the wrong car. That spoiler must be worth 1/2 what the car itself is.
