Any weapons by your bed?

Let's see who is cautious/ paranoid and keeps something by the bed, just in case.

For me, since I live in social housing and there are more druggies around the neighbourhood nowadays: Baseball bat beside my bed, at less than arms length. Knife under my pillow.

I don't have anything offensive; it's more of a defensive shield of my various posessions. Assuming a burglar doesn't fall and severely injure himself on the numerous items laying around, I have a few textbooks within reach of the bed. Getting hit on the head with a 1000+ page Materials and Machining Processes book would likely cause a concussion.

Even if it doesn't it would take a few seconds to recover from the stun. Books compress quite well even if they're hardcover, but still. the sheer weight + force of the impact will likely cause them to stumble a bit.

So you count on your messy room eh? I do too! It's quite hazardous when I enter my room at night with no light. I end up cutting or hitting myself on certain objects quite frequently. It's a nasty war zone!

Sig 228 with Crimson Trace laser grips, 2 spare 13 mags loaded with Speer Gold Dots and a surefire E2 in my nightstand. Short barrel PS90 with mounted surefire light\laser combo hidden within reach. Plus I've got a really mean cat.

Oh, and the PS90 is loaded with hand loaded SS190 ammunition capable of piercing a IIIA vest. Ya know, in case of home invaders with body armor.

- 4x M18A1 Claymore mines aimed at/near my bedroom door. 2 of them are hidden and triggered by 6 lasers in a criss-cross position @ the door. The other 2 are triggered manually with a remote me near the bedside.

All the weapons/ammo dont help unless mags are loaded Just saying!

When I get back to the states it'll be Sig P226 40 S&W + Surefire on my side, Glock 19 on the wife's side, loaded Remington 870 w/ 00 buck chambered and nearby.
