Semi brag hehe, just scored tickets to this

Radiohead
Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA
Sun, Aug 24, 2008 07:00 PM

Seat location: section SEC K1, row 4,
Total Charge: US $ 161.35

First section right behind the terrace boxes. I can't believe I was actually able to get tickets.

Anyway, that's on my list, as well as (most likely) Dream Theater on 5/2.

I blow way too much money on concert tickets =X

I've got some Springsteen tickets for later this summer. Should be better than the last show I saw, the Doodlebops.

I have Pit Tickets for Radiohead at the DC and Charlotte shows. I would go to the other North East ones but I won't be around for them :/

Since my summer is cut in half so far I only have the Black Keys, M83, and the Flaming Lips scheduled.

Not bad considering last time I bought tickets to RH, I paid 125 for pit.

live music sounds so much worse than clean nice wonderful studio albums, why would I spend more to get less?

Clearly you've never been to a good concert.

To hear something different. For a good band, the live renditions of songs > studio versions

And the sound quality at the hollywood bowl is pretty nice

So far for me right now...

May 9th - Hard Rock Live Band covering Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy album @ Hard Rock, Orlando
May 30 - June 1st Mountain Jam (http://www.mountainjam.com/)
June 4th - Eric Clapton w/ Robert Randolph @ Tweeter Center, MA
June 5th - Eric Clapton @ Jones Beach Theater, NY
June 20th - Dave Matthews Band @ SPAC
July 3rd - Chicago and The Doobie Brothers @ SPAC
July 18th - Billy Joel @ Shea Stadium (Pending)

Was hoping to score some Radiohead tickets too.. That would be sweet. Was also hoping to see Tom Petty & Steve Winwood at MSG, but I doubt I will.

Saw Eric Clapton last time he was around. Show wasn't as good as I thought it would be. But whatever, hearing clapton is always good. I bet that theater show will be sick. Questionable on the tweeter center though....

Yeah, I don't really care about concerts, but the Wife and friend and I wanted to see Journey later this year. Unfortunately the $60 tickets were really more like $90 each after "convenience fees" and shit like that.

Fuck ticketmaster. We didn't purchase tickets.

I saw him in October, 2006 with Robert Cray. Was a pretty awesome show (had DECENT seats). I also just saw him at MSG with Winwood (Blind Faith reunion) and had floor seats. Was probably the best show I've seen. I got 8th row floor at Tweeter, so I can't complain. I've never been there, but when I scored an 8th row seat, I said screw it and bought it.

orly now? That's the show I saw him at. Scored floor seats, 5th row stage right. Paid face for them too (thank you CL)

I thought his song selection was pretty poor. Very slow, esp. for the crowd. They wanted something faster, more moving, more guitar rapage. So when he dropped those songs, the crowd responded, otherwise it was pretty meh. I do like his guitarist though, who accompanies Roger Waters on his shows.

Blind Faith or the 2006/2007 tour? His song list was pretty basic for the 06/07 tour I thought. Started with some pretty good stuff (some were hits) like After Midnight, etc. And then he sat down and did a few acoustic songs from a variety of albums like Back Home and Reptile, and of course some unplugged stuff.. and then he went into his popular stuff -- Wonderful Tonight, Layla, Cocaine, Crossroads, etc. And btw, which guitarist are you talking about? Bramhall or Trucks? Both were with him that tour. (If you're talking about the 06/07 tour)

The one with Robert Cray was the show I went to. And I actually don't know the name of the guitarist, but it's the left handed guy.

It was pretty much as you described. He came out, blew us away, bored the shit out of us, and then blew us away again.

Methinks I'll go to Opeth when they come here in May. I have not seen too many others listed for Vancouver that really tickle my fancy though.

I havent been to a concert in years. I dunno, the idea of paying $40-$150 to see a singer sing the same songs I own on CD doesnt present much of a value to me.

I think Opeth is opening for Dream Theater?

Hell aren't we talking about the same show?
