I ordered some on 10/18. I ordered the PC133 MAJOR Brand with the $10 rebate. After their high shipping charges it will cost me $91 after rebate (explains their lower prices). Right now my rig consists of:

AMD Duron 600 @ 850 (using 8.5 multiplier)
Abit KT7-Raid
Western Digital 8.4GB HD
128MB Generic PC100 RAM
Viper 550 PCI Video (16MB TNT)
MX300 Sound Card

(Just so you know I've got a 30GB IBM 75GXP on the way from buy.com and a Radeon 32DDR from outpost.com. After these upgrades I should be set for a year or so.)

The Generic memory runs at 133 Cas 2 currently. I get these scores on Sandra:

FPU/Memory = 564
ALU/Memory = 490

The other scores are:

3dnow = 3957
Integer MMX = 2847
FPU Whetstone = 1142
CPU Dhrystone = 2413

These are comparable to other benchmarks I have seen for my equivalent system. (Just a little higher than the benches I have seen for the new Duron 800, which makes sense).

My memory scores are very good for this generic piece of memory. When I get the new memory, I will try and just swap it out and run the tests. We'll see if I will have to change the CAS to 3 or not. I'll let you know. I am very curious. If it scores well and I don't have any problems then I will recommend this memory and probably order more. If not then I may return it and get some TinyBGA Kingmax PC150 memory.

I just got an email that they shipped it this morning. Hoping to get it soon.
It'll be going on to a BP6 with my other 128meg PC133 chip.

Grass...

They certainly have a system that lets them package and get a tracking number from UPS (you can do it too, just sign up on the UPS page somewhere). So, you generate a tracking number, slap it on the package, and wait for UPS to come and get it. UPS will only show Invoice Received until they pick it up, and sometimes not even that.

Maybe I'm just lucky but don't understand all the moaning and groaning...

I've ordered memory 3 times from McGlen, last time about 3 weeks ago when it first started coming down. Each time the order was shipped promptly. BTW, twice I ordered using the two day service and both times, rec'd the memory exactly two days later.

Regarding it being "generic" RAM, well what do you expect...that's exactly how they advertise and price it. What do you want?

I got mine less than a week after the order was placed. It was causing so problems with my system. (damn Gateways) so I traded it in on a name brand, probably Micron or Kingston for no extra charge. Except for the $7 it cost to ship back the other one. They are very easy to deal with and I would gladly do business with them again. Ape Out.

I got my memory the day before. I put it in machine.
My machine will not boot. What the hell. It goes beep, beep , beep.
Is this a common problem with this memory?

I got a pretty standard configuration.

The 3 beeps mean that your memory is not properly seated. Try to make sure its all the way in. If it still does that the memory is DOA.
BTW. I ordered the pc133 64mb memory and they shipped it out the next day. Got it in 2 days since i live in southern cali.

Well guess what, I finally got a bunch of emails telling me my order had shipped, seven days after I ordered it, and three days after I cancelled it and re-ordered from somewhere else. Still haven't received anything though. So much for second day air.

Now I will have a lot of junk to return. I wonder how long it will take to get my money back?

I ordered 10 sticks of the 64MB PC133 and received it yesterday. Packaging was quite good, and the delivery time was acceptable considering they encountered some sort of supposed problem??? with my cc/addy info.
The ram is marked LD, not Zeus, has SIX chips per stick (someone 'splain pleeze), and also carries the markings PC133WAB, 0039LD and C128V9912816-7. I've only stuck two sticks in machines so far and both were 66MHz fsb so no test of the 133 "rating" yet.
Anyone know who actually manufactures LD modules?

Yep, I ordered the $69 128mB PC133 stuff via 2nd day. I think it took 3 business days and a weekend. I put it in last night and set it to cas 2 and everything seems beloved patriot dory.
