anybody good at MATLAB please help

i'm stuck on a homework problem using matlab and need some help

C is a 4x3 matrix
D is a 3x5 matrix

the problem is writing a file that will find G = C * D but i can't use the matrix multiplication command and instead use 'for' loops...somebody help me please

(not an expert at matcrap, but I'll try).

You need to do a for loop to do the multiplication like you would by hand. Loop on the size of the matrixes.

Are the elements in C and D predetermined or you have to write codes to generate them randomly?

The general algorithm (in pseudocode) is:

for i = 1 to <rows of C>
for j = 1 to <cols of D>
for k = 1 to ...
G(i,j) = G(i,j) + ...
end
end
end

Just fill in the blanks. Don't forget to create matrix G beforehand.

If you're still stuck, then try doing a few matrix multiplications by hand.

C*D should work...
this IS matlab afterall, made to do matrix operations very easily
if it doesn't work then maybe you didn't define your matrices correctly

nope, never took Eng 6...taking ECI 131 now which needs matlab...i still don't know what to fill in for the blanks...what does K go up to? and what are the blanks for G(i,j)+...

I think the built-in help function for 'for' gives an example of something similar to what you want to do. I don't have MATLAB anymore, but for some reason the 'help for' would be the best place to start. Heck, any 'help xxxxx' would be a great place to start.
