I was one of the first to suspect foul play, I disputed it with citibank, (used citiclick card-great for online buys)
got a letter within 7 days and i filled out all the information and wrote a nice letter explaining how I got shafted and the conditional credit for 193.90(i think it was that much) was approved
i'd call my credit card company to find out what's going on
Ice69,
I am disputing it with Citibank too...I too, have faxed them all the documents but I have a funny feeling they are going to push it to the consumers and have them take the loss instead. I didn't like having to send in more documents the second time (pretty much the same information I ve sent in the first time) to their dispute department.
Some say that the CC company are not obligated to protect their customers from online mail fraud. Wonder if that's the case?
My CC company issued me a temp credit right away, and I sent in my copies of emails and receipts the next day or so. I haven't heard anything back from my CC people, but they never recharged me, so I hope I am good to go.
Congratulations, Mechsiah! Can you send me a copy of the letter stating the matter was resolved? This would really help me with Citibank who are notorious for customer -nonsupport.
I disputed my charge with AMEX. it took about a month and a half but they credited me. I originally ordered a k7s5a combo with tbird 1.4 and heatsink. And threw two duron 850's on the order too for $31 each. So i was out $220. They sent me a EPOX 8k7a+ which is still a good motherboard and a vantec heatsink. No processors nothing.
I called amex they said they would contact them and get back to me. I got a letter saying they were not able to contact the vendor. And my money was credited to my account. Which it was.
PS. I got a free motherboard and Heatsink out the deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
