Anybody have second thoughts about flying on 9/11

Given all the rumors and concerns would you fly/travel on 9/11 ?

I don't have a choice since our vacation is paid for but I am having second thoughts. Part of me thinks it should be one of the safest day to fly.

I have second thoughts about flying at any time. Not because of any boogieman. It's due to the blatant violation of rights, hassle, and fear mongering of the government seeking to gain more money, and extra control over the population. Airplane is my least preferred method of travel. I'd rather ride cross country on a moped than use an airplane....

What'd he say? That he got left an economy in shambles from a war that was unjustified? That the national debt was climbing faster than any time since WWII? That he actually recognized that health care costs will bankrupt the country faster than the out of control military spending? Or that it's almost criminal giving corporations tax breaks to the point that they pay no taxes whatsoever on their profits so the middle class is shouldering almost the entire tax burden of this country? (Remember, the rich don't really pay much in taxes, either, given what has been passed previously.)

IF i was flying it wouldn't bother me. Whats the worst that can happen? besides getting my junk squeezed by a overweight "security guard"? the odds on anything happening is low. add in the number of planes even lower.

i think i would still be safer flying then driving.

US airport security scares me more than terrorists.

I actually went on holidays in the December following 9/11. Flew down to Barbados. I wasn't worried. As horrible as it was, I still believe 9/11 was a fluke. Bin Laden et al got lucky. The war on terror has done more to stop terrorism than any TSA agent can possibly imagine themselves doing.
