I'd love some suggestions for equipment and guides on the process. Can anyone vouch for kits like Mr. Beer? Any other information is also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

You should go to your local homebrew supply store. They'll be able to walk you through the process and you'll have a better idea what to buy. Then maybe you can shop online for an appropiate kit.

you will need some plastic buckets or what would be perfect is the water cooler jug like contraption . That and time .

If you are serious, let me know. I'll hook you up.

It will take about $100 to get started with a decent kit. Where are you located?

I'm in central Washington. $100 doesn't sound bad.

You don't have to spend that much. I probably don't have that much into it and I've got enough for two batches to be bottled and two to be fermenting at one time plus a batch of wine.

You need:

A 6Gal. bucket
A 6 Gal bucket with spigot
A lid for the bucket, with airlock
some tubing
A large pot
A thermometer
A hydrometer
Enough bottles to hold ~5 Gal.
A 6 Gal. carboy (If you want to do a secondary fermentation)
A rubber stopper with a hole for the airlock
A bottler topper

That's about it, off the top of my head.
