Hey guys Right now is 17:00 EST and Outpost is changing price of 1GB kit from 139.99 to 179.99 They also have rebate $30.

I just added and wanted to buy, but when it added to the cart, it changed price to 179.99 So I called them and the dude said they are changing price now but he can sell it to me for 139.99 now. And rebate expires on 03.08.05 So....

Thanks for the post OP. I almost jumped until I realized that the rebate is not good for this memory. It is only for ValueRAM.

I called Outpost anyway to ask about a proper rebate and they said the don't have one right now and they are changing the price to $159.

Oh well. I guess I will just keep my current 1GB Dual Channel value ram kit.

haha! I just got a pair. It cost me about $145 shipped ($50 cheaper than chiefvalue) So I don even mind waiting another 6 weeks (after I get it) for my $30

About Rebate...I don know check this Rebate Form out. It says there $30 for KHX3200AK2/1GR and KHX3200AK2/1G

Just in case anyone really wants to try it, I hosted a screen shot of the $139 price and the PDF of the rebate (which by the way does state the correct part number for the hyperx memory, but clearly states "valueram" in the text).

in description of timing it says 2-3-2-6-1..That's hellofa' value ram . Plus One thing i know that Newegg Kingston Hyper X ram has Model# KHX3200AK2/1G indicated and it costs about $210 shipped...so

I guess it is value ram...a Kingston Hyper X value ram

Took two attempts for me to get this. First time I called the guy said no and that he would only give it to me for $159.99, which I said no and tried to get him to honor the price. It was a no go. After taking a minute to finish reading the forum I saw that some ppl were still able to get it for that price, so I called back again. The 2nd person gave me NO trouble, he automatically did it w/o question. $139.99 + tax and 2nd shipping (as it was only a .40c difference). He was extremely nice and helpful...first guy was a major pain in the @ss

Can't beat that price

Well i'm glad i did somth positive for the AT community woohoo , now everybody is Hyper on X...sounds kinda daaangerous..I am using Mushkin (2.5-4-4) in my old PC now, but these bebes r for new A64 939 3000+/RS480M2-IL....gonna be naaahyce

grand total: 146.49 is good without any rebate anyways (6-7 weeks later got money for few Gin&Tonics)

That's what I see also. WOnder if we call, can we get it for 129.99 - 30?

ALso is theis the same RAM as this RAM? That's waht I currently have and wonder if there would be an issue?

I tried to call them to see if I could get it for $129, after 20 min. on hold I gave up and placed my order for $139. It is better to get it for $139 than to miss it :roll: or have them raise the price to $159 or something.

Yes. The "A" means the slower package, with CAS3 timings. The "K2" means a kit of two modules. The "1G" is the total size of the kit, and the "R" means retail-box package. HTH.
