Anybody rides motorcycle here?

I have a 96 Harley Sportster 883-1200. It's currently under repair because I rode it up to Alaska. It's getting a new paint job and replacing the suspensions.

I'm saving up for a KTM Eudro bike which I'll be use it for my next Alaska road trip.

Do Buells still having problems with their engine rubber-mount? Btw, my Sporty has a set of modified Buell Thunderstorm heads &amp; Sifton Stingray cams.


I love to have a Duc or just a sportbike but can't afford the insurance on them.

WalkingDead: I'm not really sure if the 2000's and 2001's have a problem. I haven't heard of anything or had any myself. The bike does shake like crazy because of the sportster engine, but that's just part of the reason I love this bike. Barely has any bodywork, engine shakes the bike like crazy, and it's loud (especially since I have a Forcewinder intake and a Vance &amp; Hines exhaust), it's so raw I love it. They just turn a lot of heads because a lot people have never seen an American-made sportbike.

1982 Honda CB450SC (NightHawk 450). First cycle, love the thing. It has taken my learner's abuse without complaint. From what I have heard from other bikers in my area, I may have stumbled onto the perfect &quot;first bike&quot;. Got it for $600 with only 3,500 miles on it, it literally still had the original air in the tires.

I'm not a bike person, but what does the average bike weigh? And what kind of HP does an average engine put out? I've heard figures between 60-140, any more info?

KX250, KDX 200, and I have internal metal plates and screws to prove it.

Genocide: Depends on the bike. HP ranges from ~30 up to 150+ in the case of sportbikes. Weight can range from under 400 pounds (usu for bikes of less than 450 cc) to just under a half ton for a fully decked out cruiser (like a Honda Goldwing Aspencade). My 1982 Honda NightHawk 450 weighs ~400 pounds dry and probably produces between 45 and 50 horsepower.
