anybody running a 300watt psu with a7n8x deluxe?

ordering the motherboard with xp 1700 today from newegg and was wondering will my old 300watt psu do the work. i've had the psu for awhile now and it's been threw 4 motherboards with no problems (asus cusl2, abit kt7raid, abit be6) just wondering if anyone is having any problems?

Running Antec 300SL power supply on ASUS A7N8X Deluxe, 2500+ Barton o/c, 120G WD, 45G Maxtor, ATI 9700 Pro, CDRom, 512MB memory - no problems that I've seen to date.

What brand and model is your old PSU? I am sure most Antecs and other quality brands should be fine, but many generics would struggle. It should be fine, but if you get instabilities or your voltages fluctuate a lot I would just upgrade the PSU. A lot of older PSUs may not have enough amps on certain rails to power a hefty system.

I'm running a 300w Compusa generic with a nforce2 board - no problems yet :evil: But you need to go aluminum and salvage that power supply out of that Enlight case. I was happy with this Chieftec from newegg Chieftec
