long time d&d player here (well, not anymore really). went to see this movie last friday, and it was indeed Suck. a complete waste of money.
the effects were so-so.. what did you all like about them so much?? i liked the way the beholders looked/moved, but it would've been nice if we'd seen them in action.. or hell, seen them at all for more than, what, five seconds.
most of the conflict in the movie was human vs. human or dragon vs. dragon, which doesn't ring true to d&d well. and the acting was AWFUL. the "humor" guy was probably the best example of the poor acting this film has.
don't bother.
