Ok... here's what I think;

The movie is a hybrid of Matrix and Blade (I think they used the same building that they used in the matrix, the stair case), lots of guns and lots of leather and dead vampyres, oh that and the settings is somewhat like that of Blade. Though entertaining, the movie itself has lots of flaws. Of all the vampyres, only Viktor is the strong one? Most of the vamps were wimpy, what about Emilia, she's an elder and she died like, well, a byeatch. I forgot what that guys name, the werewolves leader, but he died a stupid death. He should have his fight (he only waited thousands of years), because after all, he did get some of the pure blood in him (silver nitrate shouldn't have any effect on him), or may be he didn't die, and he'll be in the sequel, but then who would he fight? Viktor, his enemy is dead. So the sequel is set up to have hybrid fighting against hybrid?

I thought the blood thing only worked if you were descended from that Corvini blood line.

That's why that other guy, Martin??, turned to that mix breed at the end of the movie.

No, that's what they need, the Corvini blood line to mix it up. As long as you have a Corvini descendant, you can mix it with anything to create hybrid.
