I heard a story about a Rabbi visiting a country named Tridia. They had some strange customs, one of which was an audience with the King where the Trids would lean over after being greeted by the King and then he would kick them in the butt. The Rabbi says to himself, "Well, when in Rome..." So he leaned over too, after beind greeted.

we just got a new rabbi at my temple at home - he is so cool, i could seriously see him doing everything that ben stiller does on 'keeping the faith' - from the leather jacket to bringing in the harlem gospel choir

Technically my heritage is Jewish, but my dad converted before he met my mom and I was raised as a Christian (with a few small Jewish traditions observed). Half my family is Jewish and I've been to more Barmitzvahs and brisses than I can count. The Jews are a crazy people (I being half crazy), but they sure know how to throw one hell of a party

Is it just me, or is there no better food than whitefish on bagels?

I'm a half memember...

I remeber i was my freind's Bar Mitzvah and the Rabbi was so funny. He was drunk and kept hogging the vodka. U should have hear him sing.. LOL

not technically a memeber but because of my close connections with alot of people who are I've celebrated alot of Jewish holidays. Their tradition really puts christmas to shame some times, christmas is such a young upstart of a holiday in comparison.
