It might work - Windows has improved significantly regarding its ability to handle major system changes with each version, and Win10 is the best yet in that regard. Just make sure to do a full system backup before you proceed.
That being said, if your WIN10 install is OEM, you may have activation issues (especially if the laptops are made by different OEMs). Also, if you have any software installed that itself requires activation (such as games or certain Adobe products), you may want to deactivate them before moving the SSD and then reactivating them afterwards once everything is working.
