Yes, it’s working out fine so far? The party in power often loses midterm elections, but we will end up with a lot of excellent policy which is of course the entire reason to have power to begin with.
So, losing both VA and NJ?
GOP supermajorities next year or what? So bad.
All Democrats in Congress except for two are fighting for what they campaigned on. All republicans are blocking it. Why would you vote for the party blocking everything if you want something done? It's easy to see why this is happening..
Dems aren't fighting for the stuff they said they would fight for so why show up to vote?
Next year the only democrat who is getting my vote is AOC.
That is yet to be seen.Yes, it’s working out fine so far? The party in power often loses midterm elections, but we will end up with a lot of excellent policy which is of course the entire reason to have power to begin with.
Feature, not bug.Americans fundamentally don't understand how Congress works
First, Democrats are highly likely to win NJ.So, losing both VA and NJ?

Decent chance we get nothing real passed, Breyer won't retire, Thomas won't die, until after 2022 and the court will be truly fucked.
Here the local minimum wage hike won handily, setting up a legal battle with the batshit crazy legislature. In local news here in Austin Prop A went down 68-31 LMAO. They barely got more people to vote for it then signed the petition to get it on the ballot.

Second, while it is likely that the Democrats lose seats in Congress and it’s likely the GOP will control one or both chambers the idea of GOP supermajorities in Congress means that for the senate you think Democrats will lose 10 of the 14 seats they have up for election, all of which are in states Trump lost. This also would need to involve a GOP pickup in Hawaii, Vermont, California, New York, or Maryland. This is…extremely unlikely.
You’re doing the thing again where you love being panicked and depressed so much that no matter what the circumstances are you invent some reason to be. What’s up with that? Is being sad that much fun?

The local school district tax rate override also won. The override process allows folks in wealthy areas to vote money for their local schools while still sending anti-education radicals to the state legislature who will vote to cut funding for education statewide. It’s a way to get around anti segregation court rulings.
As a point of context a Democrat has not won re-election as New Jersey governor since 1977.Biden is going to be a 1-term president, like Carter. This IMO is just further proof that many voters are upset with the way things are going. Inflation being one. The high price of gasoline. It isn't all Biden's fault, but people don't see it that way. And, the vacinne mandates are going to drive more people to vote Republican. It has already happened. Murphy should had easily won the NJ election. But, many people distrust and don't like him.

Trump - > loses Virginia by 5 points, then by 10 points. One big question is what's Trump going to do if other Rs want to follow the Youngkin playbook and basically try to keep him sidelined?
Is he going to sit around while they take all the credit?
wow.. Prop A was to boost police #s to 2% of city population. In local news here in Austin Prop A went down 68-31 LMAO. They barely got more people to vote for it then signed the petition to get it on the ballot.

thought 2% was the regular standard in urban US cities?!
