My family and I have decided to go to Epcot over Fourth of July weekend and I was wondering how it is? I haven't been there in years and can't remember much about it. My friend, who is going a long with us, doesn't like roller coasters so I thought it would be a good place for him also. Any comments appreciated.

Overpriced and over-populated. Have fun though.

I actually went the week following 9/11/01 - the place was a ghost town (expectedly). No wait for anything. The last time I had gone before that was when I was a wee lad - some 15 years earlier. As a kid, the exhibit halls with all of the science exhibits/demos/etc... was very intriguing. This last time though, it was all rather blah in my opinion (at 28 though - would still be great for kids). I did thoroughly enjoy spending time in the various world bazaar/exhibits whatever theyre called. A little pricey, but still had a great time. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as you will be on your feet a long time. If you plan on spending a good deal of time at each countries section, I would probably plan on two days.

Be sure to stick around for the fireworks/laser show at the end.

That's any amusement park anywhere. It's always been my favorite part of WDW. It doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of crazy happy fun rides, but World Showcase and the different pavillions are just so cool...

The golf ball itself is boring as sh1t. Dont bother unless your into educating your mind with worthless history. The amusements in comparison to disney world are good though.

It's been 2 years since I last did WDW. I'd try to hit 2 parks at least if you have multipasses.

EPCOT has undergone some changes: World of Motion is totally redone, I miss some of the old one, but the new one is a blast, and about as "rollercoaster" as it gets (That's not saying much, it's honestly nothing major, but it's alot of fun without the bumps, hills, loops, etc of a coaster).

Communicor is gone, replaced by something else with sorta the same idea. Energy rocks... Body has a motion simulator which might make some people ill... it's kinda jerky. When I was last there, Horizons wasn't open at all, so no clue what's going on there.

The Ball is nice and slow; might freak out people in the end, but nothing has really changed... Same with the living seas and the land (although, supposedly the land has some new movies and shows, etc).

Last I knew, the "world" had hardly changed, still a boat ride in mexico (always get the chirros) and norway, the 360's in China (never liked that one) and Canada... and the American showcase thingie. There was also a kinda tent place where they had "minor" countries that they were planning to rotate members every couple of years.

The other non-coaster kinda place is Animal Kingdom, which has a ton of shows, safari rides, a thunder river, log flume, more shows, etc, and is really a cool place... if you go there, GO EARLY and hit the Safari, then figure out the shows to do (Tarzan Rocks is pretty sweet) and place your other rides between shows.

Anyway, have fun

As a Florida resident that has been to all of the above more times than I can count, I am saying that Universal Islands of Adventure is BY FAR the best theme park here. Epcot is boring.
Even if you don't go on the rollercoasters there are still many more fun rides and things to do.

Yeah, I've been there about 3 times so far and maybe again next month. Also, I live in Florida too (Vortex22).

I'm going to be at Epcot on the 4th of July JZero. Maybe see ya. hehe

I don't think Epcot will be boring, it's just a different style than some of the other high thrills places. The best ride I've been on so far is the Spiderman one at Islands of Adventure. Truly amazing.

IOA is great, but i'm still a big fan of Epcot, and i want to go back to Animal Kingdom because it was a really fun trip, you really do have to get there early and get your fastpass for the safari though, otherwise it's just not worth it

I took my kids there not too long ago and they had a great time. I was surprised they would, but they both really found the attraction interesting. I didn't have the heart to tell them that they were educational also
