Anyone carpool with someone they met thru a carpooling site?

my new job requires me to drive a good distance every day, looking for someone to carpool with everyday. wondering what are some good sites to look at(im in los angeles), and things to look out for.

I often wondered this when driving and seeing those "give carpooling a try call 800-555-5555" signs.

I'd be thinking the stranger was some serial killer or something like that the whole time.

I've heard that some people with just go to the car pool parking lots and just wait for someone to offer a ride.

Not something I'd ever want to try if I could avoid it though.

could try Craigslist rideshare, or mass email people at your work, you are probably on someones way.

I live in the East Bay in Nor Cal and we have a few designated pickup/dropoff spots that go in to San Francisco. You just wait and cars will come. Been doing it the past year and it's saved me quite a bit of time and money.
