I hated being in Glee club in highschool. My guidance counselor enrolled me in the class as some sort of punishment for not taking PE seriously.. I got to spend a whole semester sitting in the corner with my head down trying to drown out the godawful gospel music.. Though the first week of being constantly sent out of class, every single day, for not participating was pretty funny. At least in the counselors office, I didn't have to hear the music..
Oh right, this is about the show.. Well, fox only has terrible shows outside of its sunday animation block and so without having seen Glee, I can safely assume that it is likewise terrible.
Wrong, the Sunday animation block is terrible to barely watchable depending on the show.
The only other show on Fox I watch now that Terminator is canceled is House.
I like Dollhouse. That show is pretty slick.
Everyone who hated the show after first couple of episodes (ok, for most of the season) and quit watching it, but loved TSC, is missing out. The development was a little slow for the main character and the overall plot, but the last 2 episodes brought a lot of stuff together beautifully and it was well done. I wouldn't say it was the best season 1, but I liked it more by the end than Terminator, which always seemed on the verge of getting good, but then ended up falling back to mediocre, filler subplots. The ending had potential, since they essentially reset the entire scenario for John Connor in the future, but who knows now whether it would have turned out good. I wish they hadn't canceled the series, though.
Anyway, Glee's pilot looked good (saw it when it aired, not yesterday), but I think it might have the feel of a movie drawn out too long once the season starts. I'm looking forward more to "Community", which seems like it will be twice as funny, though probably with less serious characters.
