If its that bad, I'll just buy a new toothbrush.

Toxic chemicals in the mouth...FTL...

Toothbrushes are cheap enough...I just toss it and buy another one. The ADA recommends that you replace your toothbrush every 3 months, anyway.

assuming that you did a crappy job of getting the clorox off, would it have enough on there to dissolve calcium when you add water?

Uh... no. And not cleaning it with Clorox has never killed me either. And I think not cleaning it with clorox is probably safer.

Putting it in vinegar after cleaning it would bleach would probably neutralize anything that was poisonous in the bleach.

"Anyone clean their tooth bursh with clorox?"

You might be able to sanitize the tooth brush that way but I would not bet on it.

Screw that, toothbrushes are cheap. I'll just buy a new one.

If anything, pour some hydrogen peroxide on it. That's a lot more safe.

This seems a bit too crazy for me. I dont see why people worry about germs so much. If its your house and you keep it clean what is there to worry about. Besides, buy a new brush.

Yeah. Sometimes I think it's obsessive... but I buy toothbrushes a few at a time.

I didn't take very good care of my teeth when I was a young teen. It's an uphill battle trying to keep them in good shape.

Novacaine sucks ass.

I wash my toothbrush once a month since it is in the bathroom. Germs and chemicals from the toilet fly in the air even with the lid closed and usually stick to the tooth brush. Plus i dip it in watered down clorox.

Speaking of clorox I also dip my kitchen sponge in clorox once in a while. haha

That's overkill, peroxide or alcohol should be fine.

For the toothbrush just rinse it in mouthwash...
If you are that paranoid about germs, well have you thought about cleaning your desk? Specifically your keyboard and mouse. The mouse is loaded with a good deal of germs.
Do you wash your floors much more frequently than normally?
How about chaning your bath towel every 2 to 3 uses?

Just to let you know if you clean your bath room regularly you will not have to worry about crap flying onto your toothbrush. Plus if there is any, you will most likely not get sick...

Also, for the sponge you are supposed to microwave it if you wanted to do it properly.

I guess you are one of those people that are hyped up about antibacterial this and antibacterial that. The truth is you are just making it more miserable for the people in the future as the bacterial will adapt and so on.
I dunno if my soap is antibacterial and I don't care, because bacterial will "fall" off after I wash it with soap...
