FI'ed. It's got a (old) full tank of gas right now. I might just take it outside and turn it on and let it run for a few hours if it's too cold to ride. Not sure how to clean the fuel lines out really..Could I just pour in some injector cleaner?

Remove the tank and dump the gas out of it. Clean and put it back on then fill with fresh gas and run the engine for 10-15 minutes. That will clear out the fuel lines.

This. You don't want to run all that crap through your engine.

Edit: you'll probably have to pull the tank to do plugs too, if memory serves.

I see. Yes to change the plugs the tank needs to be removed. So I might as well do all that at once.

What do I clean the inside of the tank with?

Go to your motorcycle store and ask. There is a product called Kreem I've heard people use but I've never had to do this to a tank personally. Is there any rust inside the tank?

For now just oil change, fluids, chain and possibly brakes later on. I do have a set of rear and front stands and trickle charger. I changed out my battery and rectifier a while back and I have pdf of the service manual. I did that using the trunk tool kit and my friends tools but I'd like to get my own stuff. It's an 03 gsxr so it's fi.

Bike stands:

And go buy a decent set of wratchets/wrenches, and you should be all set for most tasks.

Nope not that I can see from just peering inside briefly. I've run fuel injector cleaner and some Seafoam through it last year to clean things up and keep the gas stable...And I think the guy before me took good care of it...He just didn't ride it for the last 3 years or so before he sold it to me.

I am probably going to sell it next season anyway for a 2006/2007 gsxr-750 so I don't know how much work/time/money I want to spend on it...Just need to make sure it runs smoothly this year.

Sounds fun. Agree with everything said so far. Grab some t handled metric Allen heads, pit bull stands, torque wrench, starter tool kit, paper owners manual is worth it's weight in gold (too much hassle to print off pdf when needed much easier when manual is with you in garage), find out what sockets are required for your rear and front wheel, 1/2 breaker bar.

I happen to have the service manual for 2001-2002 GSXr-600 (2003 should be the same) so if you have any questions I can look it up for you.

I might have a gixxer FSM in PDF kicking around somewhere. If you (or anyone else) wants a copy I could probably work something out to share it.

I have the 01' manual in .pdf on my comp. Resolution of the pics are terrible so sometimes it's hard to see what the little arrows are pointing to and what not.

Buy yourself a real paper copy. I imagine it could be found on Ebay for $10. Trust me when I tell you it will be the best money you could spend.

I rather have digital and print out sections that I need or do homework before a task. Mainly because paper copies normally get covered in fluids. My chiltons/hanes car manuals are pretty bad now.

Same here.
Prints go in the drawer, notes on the back of the pages for when there is a "better way" or alternate way to go about something.
