That might be my favorite looking car (non-exotic) as of today. Really tempted to go down for a test drive. Since I already test drove the H2 last month. Sometime in my life I will be able to get a new car!!

No, but would like to also.

Expect to get some anti-GM comments here. :disgust:

Mmmm, were there any body or suspension mods to go with that 400HP? All I know is that car looks schweet in black with chrome aftermarket (I think they were aftermarket) wheels

eh it drives like a cadillac

if you want an old person's car with a grip of power in essentially a sound proof go for it =P

seriously though, they got some bawls and they're great for long trips, they have a few annoying things that i dont' like with all caddy's, and it's not exactly a "fun" car

Meh. The outside is kinda weird looking, theres not a lot of room inside, and the console looks like a refrigerator.

The Cadillac CTS is probably one of the best handling sedans on the road today. Handling is excellent. The car grips the road really tight, and the steering is sharp. The suspension is stiff, but it absorbs potholes and traintracks without hurting your back. For a RWD car, it also does quite well in snowy/wet conditions due to traction control. 0-60 time is about 6.9 seconds.

The CTS is indeed a sweet ride/drive...I just can't get over the subpar interior and fugly exterior. Although for some reason, the CTS-V model with the 18" wheels and painted silver looks attractive to me

I love the exterior of the car.. and the Interior isn't bad either. Don't forget it's coming with a base 3.6L engine upgrade this year too, like 255hp I believe?

My mom drives one, and I've had probably a dozen hours or so behind the wheel. If you like the styling, then good for you, as many people can't get over it. As for how it drives, I can only compare it to the two other cars I've driven extensively in my short (under a year) licensed time: a 95 Olds 88 and a 97 Olds Silhouette. As you've figured out by now, it kicks the hell out of both those (geeze, an average FWD car and a minivan, who could have guessed?) The steering is nice and responsive. Acceleration is adequette, although the CTS-V should fix that. One thing I really dislike about it is rear view visibibility. It has a very high trunk and pretty large C pillars, which demands you to always check, double check, and check again before you can be sure that no one is behind you. That's about all I have to say about it, although I really wish I could drive a 3 series, an A4, or a G35 to be able to compare them.

Hardly, the LS6 gets 19mpg city, 28mpg highway.

But the CTS-V also weighs 600+ lbs more than a Z06

2003 Corvette curb weight - 3246
2004 CTS-V curb weight - 3,847

so yup, right about 600lbs more on the CTS... I don't know how much it will effect the mileage though, probably not too much.

Friend recently made the purchase... I'd get a G35 instead.
Beats it in every aspect, by far, especially the looks department IMO.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0208_sedan/

Regarding the CTS:
From the day the first photos were released by Cadillac, all of us reserved judgment until we could actually stand next to the car and put our gaze and hands on it. It turns out it's a vehicle that has two, perhaps three distinctly good viewing angles. But who wants to ask his neighbor to stand on a milk crate in the middle of the road to catch the elevated, rear five-sixths view with the sunset hitting it just so?
ROFL

Regarding the G35:
Yes, it looks like it came from Asia, but the elegant shapes and proportions of the G35 prove there are still pleasing and functional designs yet to be imagined and produced. Everywhere we drove this car, we were stopped and questioned. More than one person told us the G35 would be his next car--especially after he learned the price. It's cool without looking trendy; beautiful without having to explain itself. Its long, low, sloping hood and simple, not overly adorned sheetmetal and headlight clusters show the designers' restraint. They knew when to put their pencils down.

It shouldn't really affect highway mileage. What would affect highway mileage is the boxy styling.

Shitty, eh?

Yes, I'm aware that these are just concept, but you shouldn't make general statement like you did... these concepts only show what they're capable of.

edits: Just looking at more of their interiors i dont think are bad at all... they look easy to use. I love how people are so quick to judge cars they've never ridden in.

THEN WHY DON'T THEY DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????

I can't think of one GM interior with the exectption of the Seville that is worth writing home about. And even it can't compare to a $35,000 Lexus ES300.

I can understand you taking up for GM (as you always do), but you've got to admit that when it comes to interiors, they're near the bottom of the list. When it comes to interiors (quality/materials/finish), I see it this way:

Audi/VW
Lexus
Mercedes
BMW
Acura
Honda
Infiniti
Honda
Toyota
Lincoln
Caddy
Nissan
Mitsubishi

Hyundai/KIA

Ford
