anyone else bombed by virus emails today ?

This is for my work account too... I've had to delete 6 emails that contain different types of attachments (.com file, .zip, .doc)... another 1 of them said "an .exe was deleted because it contains a virus". I hardly ever get any that makes it all the way through leaving me to decide if it's a virus or not. Something special about today ?

here at Clarkson university I've gotten hammered with them too, all of them from local email addys, nothing from outside the university, all one sentence messages, all zip attachments except for one exe

our executive director got a .scr file today.
he didnt do anything with it, thankfully.
i hope ive trained everyone else as well.
i think it was called bill.scr

I've been getting quite a few calls today (i do tech support for a university). Lots of people getting emails saying there's a picture of them naked w/ the attatchment (most of them have been zip). something new i'm guessing. fun part is that the emails are spoofed to look like other users in our domain. could be the same thing /shrugs

Just received 7 more... WORM_NETSKY.C

W32.Netsky.C is a mass-mailing worm that uses its own SMTP engine to
send itself to email addresses it finds when scanning hard drives and
mapped drives. This worm also searches drives C through Z for folder
names containing "Shar" and then copies itself to those folders.

Got a couple thousand here at work, hard to belive in this day and age we have 2 users open up and extract the zip files from people they didn't even knowl
