Anyone else bothered by what Robinson said after the game?

OMG, why does everyone have to twist everyone's words around? The man was ecstatic that he won the championship in his last game in his last season. A firm believer in religion and God, he wanted to let everyone know he was thankful that God helped him and to an extent, his team, through the season and into the championships. Well he should be thanking his teammates, his coach, his fans, his family, etc..in my view thanking God if you're into that stuff should be done privately.

If he decides to thank God during his moment of glory and thus spur the fervor of Christians who see him - to make them feel more accepted and to let the world know his belief - you cannot judge him without looking like a complete ignorant fool. Actually, I think it means that Robinson is appreciative that God gifted him to be a champion. Nothing more. It means absolutely nothing about the Nets, neither good nor bad. Why should it?

Still sad over the nets' loss...but...

I thought it was sweet what David Robinson said. He said he was blessed to have such a great ending to his career and that he thanked God blah blah blah. There's nothing wrong with that...everyone thanks God for things.

The part that got me and actually made me a LITTLE bit happy about the spurs winning was when he thanked his father..and blah blah. Robinson's such a sweet guy..heh.

Agreed. You can tell by the way he speaks that he's a kind and gentle person, despite his demeaning size. Always happy and peppy. (Almost too much last night but I would be too if I were in his position) Glad he was thinking of the things that counted
