Exactly, he is thanking God for this abilities to play the game and for the abilities win. He is not thanking God the championship exactly, you see there is a difference. Maybe next time people should read more closely and actualy ponder what was said instead of going directly into God/Christian bashing.

Really? I'm an agnostic and I remember always thanking God for stuff -- like after doing well on a test, or not being hurt when I got into a car accident etc. I thought it was natural to thank God -- even for those who are not religious.

So you approve of people who fly jetplanes into buildings and kill thousands? Or are you just being an ass? Either way, put the crack pipe down. What you think is not even remotely close to what I actually believe in. What I said is that people who fly airplanes into buildings and kill thousands of innocents in the name of "God" don't actually believe in "God." I don't think that is that hard to understand, but I guess it is for you.

Well I have to admit, maybe I really don't understand. According to those people in the planes, we are the Empire of Evil and represent Satan for trespassing on their lands and blowing up their stuff (and people). Not to mention the fact that we gave Saddam anthrax and chemical weapons. If that's not evil, then what is? Aren't they right too? Isn't it pretentious to say that they are evil for doing something they felt was right and pious.
And the more important question is that isn't religion completely silly for infusing people (them and us) with all of those beliefs and hate in the first place? Is not religion itself to blame?

It all seems innocent when Robinson praises god after a game but in the end it adds up to people killing each other over who's beliefs are right.
