Ok, I gave in. I signed up for an mlm, aka pyramid business.

I couldn't help it. I actually really like the juice. Anyway, not here to promote my business side, just looking to see if anyone else drinks the stuff, and if it works for you.

My mind plays tricks on me so I'm not sure if it's placebo effect yet. I guess it can't be bad for you, it's just way too expensive to continue taking unless it actually works.

my friend's aunt does. as soon as she sent me the description I knew it was MLM.

Sounds just like noni juice but tastes better.

Also sounds like snake oil to me.

Snake oil?

Please elaborate.

Does your Aunt notice any effects? Or is it tough to get an honest opinion without a sales pitch as well.....

Complete and total scam like every other MLM "opportunity".

Acai fruit is nutritious but so are apples. You can also buy 100% juice at your local store that contains Acai fruit for about 10% of the cost of one of those bottles.

I use and sell Mona Vie, so please if you think its a pyramid, please at least know what you're talking about first.

FYI...if you work a job in the corporate world, you're in the biggest pyramid scam in history...CEO at the top, board, then upper management, followed by middle management, and at the bottom are the workers.

It doesn't matter how hard you work, you'll never get from the bottom to anywhere near the top, all you will ever be is the bottom of the pyramid.

MLM, or direct marketing, is very lucrative to those that work hard, and choose a good product with a good compensation plan.

As for the product, do the research on Acai itself before you assume that the juice at the store is the same thing...of course it isn't, and anyone that can read the product label will see that.

Metalloid, if you still have any of the bottles, compare the content of Mona Vie to that of any other store-bought juice that has acai and you will see what I mean.

I tried it once, $25 for a bottle that looks like a wine bottle was the first warning. In my opinion, its all marketing. There is nothing in that bottle that is worth that much. It would have been more believable if it was in more of a generic bottle for me. You can buy freeze dried / spray dried acai berry extract and pomogranite yourself and it would be a lot cheaper.

Yes, there are many types of acai products out there, and I'd put Mona Vie up against any of them.

Myself and others I know have used other acai products from well known health & suppliment stores but nothing has produced the same results for us.

BTW...if anyone wants to try an acai product, be sure the label specifically states "freeze dried" acai, its the only viable way to preserve the benefits of the fruit.

BTW...shouldn't this be in the Health & Fitness forum?

I'd love to hear your opinion on why Mona Vie would be any better than a bottle of Naked Juice @ a much more ridiculous cost.

Didn't take long to get you out of the woodwork.

BTW, the referral link in your signature is against the TOS.

I signed up as a distributor as a favor for someone recently. They put me on 2 case "AutoShip" which was an 8 bottle monthly subscription at $250/mo. In the "team" I am in, you needed to be on 2 case autoship to receive commission. I liked the taste of the MonaVie, but I didn't think it was worth the money, no where near in fact. I canceled my autoship immediately after I found out it was a subscription.

Here's my take on MonaVie as a business. It is a legitimate business and one can definitely make good money on it, but it takes a lot of hard work. It seems their business model is to sell more the opportunity than the product as at ~$30 dollars a bottle it is hard to justify the cost on that alone. Thus the very smart people who started the company decided that MLM was the best way to promote and sell MonaVie as one who joins their business is usually promoting MonaVie, consuming and purchasing a lot of bottles of MonaVie as well as getting others to join in to do the same. The entry fee was only $39 bucks to become a distributor but you would expect a distributor to purchase some bottles of MonaVie either to consume it themselves (because they like it for health reasons or otherwise) or for getting others to become distributors under them.

As a product I like the taste of MonaVie, but the cost of it is enormous. I don't think it is worth the cost unless you truly believe the health benefits are worth it. MonaVie is a blend drink of 19 different fruits and berries with Acai as the headline ingredient. I do not know what percentage of Acai is in MonaVie, maybe wdb can tell us?

The exact percentage is proprietary, but it is the first ingredient on the label, which means it contains more acai than any other fruit.

I've found I need to increase my autoship as I'm selling the bottles faster than I'm using them, though I can order as much as I need without autoship anyway...its just a convenience, not a requirement.

Yeah, I have had a couple of people that just didn't like the taste, but then again I know people that don't like chocolate...or prunes...or, you get the idea...everybody has different tastes.

Hey I'll answer what I can, not everybody likes certain marketing or products, but if you want to know something, just ask.

If I don't know, I can send the question up the line.
