It really seems like an impossible task that the Repubs are confronted with. They know that it would be political suicide for them to take away health care
Wow this guy absolutely tears into fox news
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/2/16/945538/-
Pretty much no major journalism awards like ever. By other journalists, they are not considered legitimate news.

Great info. Thanks

Pretty much confirms what FOX is all about, although any amount of proof of what a singularly purposed propaganda tool for the GOP that FOX is will of course fall on deaf ears for those that are already deep into the Big Lie that FOX perpetuates for its own existence.........and profit.

REPEAL O'BAMACARE!

Wait...you mean that might affect US?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/in-rural...ut-its-future-under-aca-repeal-090035635.html

President Barack Obama’s signature health care bill has been a sore subject here, widely reviled by people in this mostly Republican county, where many fiercely adhere to conservative values, including smaller government. Though many now have health care for the first time, and seem to like it, they also resent being told what to do by bureaucrats far removed from their daily lives.

More than two-thirds of voters in Delta County backed Donald Trump’s unlikely bid for the presidency — by one of the highest margins in the state — in part because of his pledge to repeal and replace Obamacare. The election came amid complaints of skyrocketing premiums that made the bill’s mandated health insurance increasingly hard to afford in this part of Colorado.

The threat of losing the hospital has prompted hand wringing among Trump supporters here who are torn between wanting to see Obamacare overturned but Medicaid spared. Many can’t believe Trump would champion a bill that hurts the very people who so strongly supported his campaign for president. Though few openly admit it, some privately fret that their vote could take away a hospital they desperately need.

“In the back of people’s minds, it’s there, but nobody wants to say it,” Sisson said.

One man told him he wanted to keep the Affordable Care Act but get rid of Obamacare. “I get that a lot,” Cleckler said. “Obamacare has become such a derogatory term. I think most people don’t know what is even in the Affordable Care Act.

it sucks...but these folks voted FOR Trump...by a large margin. You reap what you sow.

From that article quote... I remember a while back when the Obamacare bashing was in full swing, someone (a few organizations?) did polls in the streets of people's opinions of obamacare and ACA.. ACA always got high opinion polls, by large margins too (like 30% vs 60% or something). Good stuff.

It's looking increasingly unlikely this even makes it out of the House. Freedom Caucus says that have the votes to sink it plus moderate Rs and Rs vulnerable to seat turnover in 2018 aren't looking like enough "yes" votes. Even if they manage it somehow the Senate seems to be a pretty firm "nope".

The markets may have also finally taken some notice that the odds of Trump successfully delivering anything, let alone an incredibly yuuuuge tax cut and deregulation package by fall, could be slightly less than 100%.

And to be clear, the Freedom Caucus is sinking it because it's too generous. Right?

Trump is just going to try to push through whatever he can. Anything.

I don't think he gives two shits about what's actually in the bill. No matter how bad it sucks, he's got confidence that he can sell it afterwards just by describing how great it is. Just like all of the other garbage he sells.

There probably are plenty of rubes out there who will believe him too, but at least some people are gonna get screwed and they will know the difference between what he's saying and the truth.

The Repubs are building their very own Frankentrump Health Care Plan with body parts from Palin's Pals, Ryan's Raiders, Trump's Chumps, Koch's Korpes', Walker's Walkers and the liquefied brain of Ted Nugent that dribbled out from his ears sometime back in the 70's.

Yep, that'll work just fine for the Repubs. Really good mix of solid conservative values that's packed full of the lies, false promises, backstabbing take-backs and jackpot days for the very wealthy.

Rejoice America, the Trump Family Values Team is hard at work to give you what you deserve and then some.

I don't think the Republicans have the guts to vote no on Trump's heath care. He's been threatening them and stating that they'll pay a price if they vote no. I don't know how he's able to do that.

He shouldn't be allowed to threaten Congress.

Those Congress critters are in districts where Trump got huge margins of victory. The 'threat' is that he won't support their re-election bid. Don't panic, it's S.O.P. in DC.

Plus its part of the way our system is designed to work. Work as a team or be sidelined or form a new team with similar goals

This would not be the first time the Freedom Caucus has bucked the leadership's wishes. The idea seems to be for them to avoid fallout by painting this as a Ryan plan not a Trump plan, which if it fails will probably be what Trump himself does. Should be a reasonable explanation to Tea Party voter ears who hate Paul Ryan.

Most of the vulnerable Rs seem to be hanging back and keeping quiet not saying how they'll be voting. I'm sure they're just praying the Freedom Caucus sinks this thing and the bill gets pulled so they don't have to take a useless vote that will get them pummeled in the next election.

I suspect many Republicans know that Trump's threats are easily counterbalanced by the need to garner voter support. Who cares if Trump backs you when the public doesn't?

In a sense, that's the beauty of the US system... while Trump and the current batch of Republicans seem to really, really want an autocracy, the truth is that they still have to please enough of the public to stay in power. And I find it hilarious that the Republicans got a mandate served on a silver platter and are still managing screw things up and antagonize people across the political spectrum.

Last minute deal for votes?
What do they want to change? Need to change?
To further strip ACA Obamacare protections out of Trumpcare?
They want the pre-existing clause REMOVED, the cap limits reinstated, and the reform allowing kids to remain on parents plan until age 26 stripped away entirely.

What they want in this bill is for nothing at all.
Nothing but turning back the clock and handing back the very old healthcare system America had before ACA.
And that is where millions will soon lose their coverage all over again.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...

While republicans are at it they might as well begin the dismantling of Medicaid and Medicare.
And so they shall....

Listen.
Never "NEVER" have republicans gave a damn about the American healthcare system.
This "for-profit" system has always been just fine for them, where millions have no healthcare and the insurance companies reap millions from the sick.
So why would anyone believe republicans even have a plan?
Or have had a change of heart?
Did Hitler care about air pollution from burning corpses?

Republicans only plan is to kill off anything and everything that might help Americans get and enjoy healthcare.
They want the disabled to work, the sick to tote that barge and lift that bale.
And THERE is their plan.

I really hope this passes. It's the only way that working class white people will understand where their interests actually lie. When a few thousand die off because of TrumpCare things may start to change.

If it doesn't pass, they will just blame Ryan and continue with the clown and pony show. Onward to incompetence.

I hope it passes too, people like rudder deserve to suffer from the consequences of their action. Everyone else has been suffering from people like rudder's actions for decades.
