Ran across a forum post about these IPS panels over at Hard OCP. Skinny of it is that LG panels that are used in Apple Cinema displays are being used in some $250 Korea models. They come in 27" 2560x1440 goodness. Some of the early revisions of the panels were OCing to over 100Hz. The only come with DVI-D (the good ones). Which results in less input lag.
I ended up ordering one. I have another 23" IPS LG panel and this one blows it out of the water! No dead pixel and all for $332! Figure at this price even without a good (if any) warranty is worth it.
Not going to direct link but you can find them on Amazong and Ebay for under $400. Search 27: catleap (or crossover, few others)
Anyone else snag one of these babies?
