Anyone else get a Catleap?

I got the Shimian QH270 lite reviewed by AT.

I got the one without Glass cause of all the people complaining about the dust behind the glass.

I didn't get a Catleap cause I wasn't interested in a higher refresh rate. I played GTR on my friends 120hz monitor with 2x 580s and I didn't notice the difference, maybe I'm just slow.

I didn't get a crossover cause if this one turns out to be good, I'm going to get 2 more and Vesa mount them.

I got the lite cause I wanted to save a little cash and I would calibrate the colours with CCC

I went with with 2 of the same, i love them. I have had a few friends come over and order one after seeing them also.

For the price, don't think they can be beat, i went through TA_Planet and had each order next day from Korea.

A single dual-GPU card (gtx690) can handle them adequately depending on the settings.

i don't think you would need a dual GPU card unless you wanted to game on all 3 at once, if you just want to desktop them any high-end card should be able to do it and be able to game on 1 at a time

I think I am going to be buying one of these later this week. From what I understand, the Achieva Shimians come with better stands than the catleaps, but that is about it. Could someone please explain whatever differences there are between the catleaps, shimians, and crossovers? Can only the catleaps potentially overclock? What is the difference between the regular shimians and the shimian lites?

Ordered a Crossover from bigclothcraft yesterday. Decided that 120hz didn't matter that much to me, since I've gamed on a 60hz LCD for probably 8 years. Just waiting to get shipment confirmation now.

.....apparently something went wrong with the labeling of my package, so the total address was just: "8000, Germany". So while my postcode is 8000, I live in Denmark and the street address was missing too. So I contacted the seller and he said he would ship a new monitor today :\

For mine, they quoted a delivery date more than 6 business days out but then delivered it ~24 hours. But right up until I got it, the website kept saying that the delivery date was more than a week later. So if my experience is any guide, you'll get it sooner.

Size: These Catleaps are 27", yours is 23"
Pixels: These Catleaps are 2560x1440, yours is 1920x1200 - that's about ~60% more pixels (3.7MP vs. 2.3MP)
Panel: These Catleaps are IPS, yours is TN. See this link: https://sites.google.com/site/xtknight2/matrix-of-all-matrices.htm?attredirects=0, but in a nutshell, TN's are faster for gaming, but IPS's offer better colors, brightness, black-level's gamma, and horizonal viewing angles, and while TN's response times and input lag are better to me it seems like the Catleaps are good enough for gaming.

Other the flip side, the build quality of the the Catleaps is not very good compared to an Alienware monitor, and the inputs aren't as good, and there's no on-screen controls or built-in scalers.

Fedex was wrong. The seller apologized for a one day shipping delay (Buddha's Birthday) and didn't really offer a guess as to when it would arrive. But Fedex's website had it listed as arriving 6 business days later right up until it arrived on my doorstep. It arrived on a Tuesday, but Fedex kept saying it would arrive on the following Monday.

Not that I'm saying that this will happen to you - I'm still amazed by the idea that they shipped it that quickly - but that there's a good chance you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Not that seller specifically but mine used DHL as well. The tracking was in my opinion very mediocre. For long bits of time it would seemingly sit in a sort center and then pop up 4 steps down the line in America like 4 of the tracking changes in Korea had not processed. I ordered mine memorial day or so and got it that Thursday so 3 days. I can't complain.
