Anyone else getting dissapointed with The Office?

yeah, it's getting ridiculous.

the only episode I really liked was "Scott's Tots".

This one last night was pretty bad.

The episodes written by Mindy Kalling have all been hit or miss.

I prefer the UK version but neither is particularly funny to me.
Edit - I never saw the early seasons of US Office which are apparently better.

Don't mind him. As you likely already know he's the resident thread pisser and Debbie Downer.

That being said, I didn't particularly enjoy the UK version either. It was "fine", but nothing more.

The Office is certainly in a death spiral. Andy, Dwight and Kevin still make me laugh every sec they are on the screen.

30 Rock is still great. Community is great. Modern Family is great. Parks and Rec is great too.

Did you find the first show from the US Office funny? It is a verbatim copy of the first UK Office.

Didn't the Office turn into a stupid melodramatic soap opera a year or two ago? I remember watching it in its first or second season and really enjoying it, but since then I haven't seen it. I've only seen the ads which are always promoting it as some sort of romantic drama bullshit.

yeah, the first two seasons are far superior to the recent two seasons. Of course...the 1st season was a direct ripoff of the original Office...so maybe that has something to do with it?

this. The office was two seasons and a couple specials. Extras was two seasons and a special. Gervais also points to fawlty towers which was only two seasons.

The us office was a great show for the first few seasons but has been shite for years. They should have quit when they were on top. American tv loves to keep shows going long past their prime.

Season 1 was unwatchable. 2-3 were great. 4-5 were poor. This one is decent.

I think this is probably the worst season of the series. 1 was okay, 2,3,4 rocked.

not enjoying it as much either. same with 30 Rock. 30 Rock was awesome for like the 1st season or 2 then it went downhill. it's just too ridiculous for me now.
