1) these computers are just fine, after all, macs can't get any of the 1.5 billion viruses

2) minimum specs for OSX: G3/4/5 CPU, 256mb ram, 3gig free hdd space

i'm not saying my PII 300 is gonna beat a conroe X6800, i'm saying that i'm fairly confident that it would outperform my dad's similarly specced G3 that has more ram and is running OSX.

quite possibly, but put vista on there and check back with me. of course we all know from games how accurate minimum specs are. i'm still going to stick with os x is too much for the g3, but i'm just wildly guessing. once again, if you're seeing those types of problems on a g4 ibook everything is not fine.

My sisters Powermac G4 400mhz is not slow at all. Web browsing is very snappy. My sisters G4 iBook runs awesome too. Both running 10.3.9

And no, her iBook is not turning yellow.

it's a shame haters have to make up lies to make themselves feel better about something that is completely meaningless in the long run.

I dare anyone to use OSX for at least a full day and come back and tell me it's trash. Apple is really moving up, especially with the intel line of products.

I hate OSX, I hate it so fscking much, I acutally would go out of my way to use OS9 or OS8 than OSX, OSX is so fscking obnoxious, bloated, slow and annnoying. While OS9 was based off of the orginal, pretentious apple crowd, OSX is built from the ground up, reworked and revitalized the whole pretentious crowd thing going on. OS9 is sadly, better to use than OSX, at least it isn't so damned bloated. But in the end, I hate all apple products anyways when it comes down to it.

it's trash. a windows environment isn't meant to look pretty and swoon you with a rainbow ticker telling you your computer is at work. it's pure business, and that's the way i want it.

You want to talk about business and OSes, let's just look at the directory structures of each.

What I think a lot of people don't realise is that under that graphically enhanced user interface lies a UNIX OS providing such power that those underpinings providel

how many people will take advantage of a unix-based OS? only power-users, who are a very small group.

I'll give the Ipod a negative point in regards to the non-user replaceable battery, but I do not care. Who has a music player for more than a few years. By the time I'm going to replace my Nano I'll probably be streaming my music from my home sever.

I think the iPod is great but where Apple really shines is their OS and laptop hardware.
