I am, but only because my friend and his wife who were supposed to be coming into town today got held up due to work schedule conflicts, so they won't be in town until Friday night.

I'm not spending it alone, however a buddy of mine is. Parents are divorced, and he says family get togethers are always awkward, so he finds it best not to do it. Past 3 years he had thanksgiving with another family. He says when he goes to see his dad, it's unfair to his mom. And the same the other way around when he sees his mom. I will vouch that the father is flat out creepy though. Damage left after the divorce...

Just yesterday we were in walmart and he called his mom to say he finally got a new job, he then went into a conversation about how he wasn't coming back home for thanksgiving. His mom then said since he wasn't going to his dads and wasn't coming down, that she was going to come up to see him. And he said no, you aren't. She then just hung up.

Just, thought I'd share that short story, and let you know, there are plenty of people eating by themselves for thanksgiving. I am not one of those people though.


And I agree with Beachboy. Those were terrible breasts.

Nope, I'm completely mooching off my friend's family. I'm sad that I can't be home for Thanksgiving, because my grandma and mother's cooking is ridiculous. Me and my friends will eat ourselves into a coma.

I won't be this year, although I'm not terribly fond of family get togethers so I'm not sure that I'll be any happier than if I was alone. We'll see. I will get to see my brother who's in the military and is supposed to be going over to Iraq sometime relatively soon (he was supposed to go all the way back in like January but they keep pushing his group's deployment back for some reason) which is nice.

I wouldn't want to be all alone on Thanksgiving, but at the same time, I don't really like the family get togethers. I'd rather just get together with a bunch of friends, but pretty much everyone I know has a big family gathering.

I am... kind of. Planning on going to my aunt's this Thursday, but I may only stay a while. Folks are gone for a funeral.

Not a big holiday guy unless it is with my immediate family.

Thought about it. My family is on the opposite coast; we're going to celebrate with my wife's family, but there's a lot of work I need to get done and am tempted to pass.
