Anyone else having USPS troubles?

I already searched the forums, and it makes sense that they're backed up because of the holidays, but I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience this week. I shipped out something I sold on eBay on Monday via USPS Priority mail with insurance and DC. The DC is still reporting the information was electronically received. I got an e-mail from the buyer, getting anxious that the package has not been received yet. I am a bit surprised it has not arrived yet. How long should I give before issuing a refund and placing a complaint/insurance claim with USPS? I've shipped many things via USPS before and this is the first time I've encountered such a long delay.

they are really backed up...My info on teh website is still untrackable.

They should show up before christams, though

Never. The US Postal Service is perfect.

DC wont change anything until it's delivered. In some rare cases they scan them at the delivery post office but it doesn't happen much plus it gets delivered that day anyways. You can't do an insurance claim until 30 days has past, as until then it's not considered lost.
