Just curious.

I kind of switch between favorites every so often, but this is one I've really enjoyed the past six months or so. I've probably had 10 bottles of beer in the past six months, 9 yuengling.

Yeah, it's a good price and a good beer. Not too .. I don't know, bitter I suppose... not too watery... it's nice.

I used to drink Heineken, but I don't know..just started not enjoying it as much lately.

On the warm days I like a good Corona / Landshark Lager / Catalina.

Umm..well 24 Coronas are about 8.49 x 4...

Lots of people seem to like Sam Adams, but I can't find them in single bottles usually, and I don't want to buy a six pack of something I might not like for like 10 bucks...

I don't know what is generally considered better.

Never had Sam Adams.

Those Heineken mini-kegs are pretty cool.

Heineken seems to frequently be off by the time you get it from the store. Sam Adams is unbeatable imo. Your best bet is to try a bunch, and see what YOU like. Spending money doesn't always make it taste better :^D There's some cheapies I enjoy on occasion, and some expensive brews totally aren't worth the expense(Corona). My preference was always MD beer, wine too really. I like supporting the hometown guys.

to answer the OP, I like Yuengling. It's a top mass market beer. It's gotten kind of faddish the last bunch of years, so it costs more than it should, but if I'm in a low end bar I'll take Yuengling over anything made by the American big players.

About 5 or 6 years ago, you still couldn't get it in Chicago, my aunt and uncle would take a case back with them whenever you visited. And you couldn't get it in the deep south, IIRC. But I haven't traveled west in a while.

Why can't I find Yuengling nationwide?

almost as cheap as bud/miller/coors (12pack for $8 vs $6) and taste good.

If I have to choose between any of the beers of that type (Bud, Coors, Mich, Yueng, etc.) I go with Yuengling more than the others. The lager is good, not a fan of the light, and I don't see how a black&tan in a bottle could really be that good so I've never tried it.

I really enjoy it from tap.. from a bottle not so much. I don't know why. To me it tastes too dry in a bottle, but from tap it's perfect.

I lived in Louisiana for 2 or so years and you can't get Yuengling down there.. My GF had her friend who's parents live in Alabama pick me up a 1/2 case for my birthday one year. It was an awesome gift.

It was tough not having Yuegnling to drink.

I prefer the Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer. I can't drink their boston Lager.

Anyone know why it isn't distributed everywhere? I know we only recently got it in Tennessee. I was in the same boat as you and only had it when I was in Alabama from time to time. And you know there's something wrong if Alabama is getting something first down here...

I like the Lager. 1 place i frequent has it on tap but most places only carry it in bottles.
I forgot to try the Premium when it was the beer-of-the-month but several people told me they didn't like it. Never had the Light or Black & Tan.
