Anyone else here losing hair (aka balding)? Do you take/do anything to slow/stop/reverse this?

Higher levels of testosterone are a factor in hair loss. They also help me keep it up. I don't think I'd take more hair at the loss of that, and I sure know my GF wouldn't.

BTW, take a look at the warnings for Propecia and it's ilk. It wreaks havoc on the hormones. Women can't get near the stuff. And it can cause sexual disfunction in men. No thanks.

sites like hairsite ,hairlosstalk, regrowth,
and minoxidil are extremely helpful.

there will be a new drug on the market this year called dutasteride which might prove to be more
effective than either propecia or minoxidil. there is also an exotic treatment that has not been
clinically tested although does seem to have scientific justification called zinc oxide. hairsite has
more information about it. hope this helps.

No. I'm actually starting to get hair in some pretty unseamly places if you know what I mean. Not alot mind you, but a back is no place for hair, so i'm gonna shave what very little is there. Hope I don't cause it to turn into a rug on my back though.:Q

started at 21 from the top of my head. I tried Rogaine, but it made my scalp really itchy, so I stopped taking it. I don't use anything now, but it is still slowly falling out. I hate looking at the comb after I comb my hair because the hair is falling out.


hey, I am 21 and I started badling at 16. I started receeding and around 18 I started thinning on top. About 6 months ago I started shaving my head to combat the visual effects. I know I'm gonna lose it anyway, so I might as well just go all the way.



hey veryape, with a name like that I'd think you'd have alot of back hair. I do, and I warn you, shaving your back itches like hell, I tried once and my god was it irritating. of course I have quite a bit of back hair, so it might not be so bad for you.
