Anyone else home speedtest this fast?

I've got Comcast Blast! Plus, which from what I get from their website is 30 Mbps download.



I'm pleased with these results but it makes me wonder when some times I can't even stream 720p YouTube videos reliably. YouTube definitely isn't as good as it was a couple years or so ago, IMO. Netflix seems fine.

I could get 100Mb internet where I am for only like another $30 per month but had no need. That said this is what I currently get.

I work at a university and can saturate the 100 mbit ethernet port on my laptop, so yes. At home, not so much. 20/1 with Time Warner. The upload speed is awful, and that sucks when you want to backup online. I really miss my Fios service back in Virginia.

I'm actually on a low- to mid-tier plan. They also offer 75/35, 100/65, and their top-tier plan is 300/65, but that just seems outrageous for home use. What I have is already more than fast enough for my needs. FIOS reliability is outstanding too. In 2 years of having it there has been one outage of about 10 hours. Their TV service is great too.

This is my best with Grande Communication. I'm somewhere between their Power and Unleashed packages (30/3 and 65/5). Their top package is 110/5. I have no idea why they don't give more upload. With such a fast download, you can saturate the upload simply with ACK packets.

I'm on the low-mid tier plan, but I called in to cancel and they upgraded me to the 75/35 for free, so they won me over.

Remote desktop is awesome with 35mbit upload. I can stream 1080p wmv, and most other stuff feels like I'm using my uber powerful OC'ed quad core desktop straight up on my tiny ultralight laptop.
