Yep. 5.4L '06 F-150. Supercrew with 5.5' bed, 26 gallon tank. Keep track of fuel and other related expenses more for fun than actual usefulness.
2009: 17.1 MPG average, $2.49/gal
2010: 15.5 MPG average, $2.64/gal
2011: 15.6 MPG average, $3.40/gal
2012: 14.6 MPG average, $3.42/gal
Total: 3192 gallons over 49758 miles, 15.6 MPG.
Earlier years were more highway mileage than city stop and go conditions, which caused the decline.
Best tank >10 gallons: 19.6 MPG, 18.6 gallons, 365 miles
Worst tank >10 gallons: 10.3 MPG, 20.2 gallons, 208 miles
Best tank was all highway, empty bed. Worst tank was also mostly highway, but was towing a 12-ft enclosed trailer, with around 3 tons of extra weight (trailer and cargo). Usually get 11-12 MPG while towing on the highway. Truck is rated to pull around 8,000 pounds with its configuration. Found out that I'm more likely to exceed an axle weight limit or the max gross weight before reaching the towing capacity.
